Meet our Staff!
Ashley
Veterinary Assistant
Ashley started working at Northside through an on-the-job training program from the Branch Area Career Center in 2001. After graduating from Quincy High School in 2002, she began working full time. She lives in Quincy with her fiancé and two boys. Ashley has four dogs- Darwin, Loki, Sven, and Gabe, and four goats- Eva, Wall-e, Remi, and Marlo. She enjoys spending time with her family, doing outdoor activities, crafting and scrapbooking.
Betsy
Veterinary Assistant
Betsy has been with Northside since 2005. She has her Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Master's degree in community counseling from Siena Heights University. Betsy is passionate about helping animals. She teaches both puppy classes and canine behavioral classes at Northside. In addition, she does behavioral evaluations at the Greater Hillsdale Humane Society. Betsy has five dogs- Stewie, Ducky, Levi, Trudy, and Betty as well as two cats, Etsie and Emmy. In her spare time she likes hiking with her dogs, camping and spending time with her husband, Dustin and doing volunteer work.
Eve
Veterinary Assistant
Eve started working at Northside in 2017 and lives in Hudson with her husband and two little boys. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology from Siena Heights University and after college worked as a zookeeper in Arkansas and Texas. She has been working as a veterinary assistant for four years. Eve enjoys camping in the U.P., family time, off roading and photography. She has a dog Maeve; a cat Sprouty; and two guinea pigs, Oreo and Browni.
Marissa
Veterinary Assistant
Marissa started working at Northside in June 2020 and is a graduate of Homer Schools. She has one dog, Jaxon, and two cats, Jasper and Peanut. She enjoys spending time with her family and outdoor activities. Marissa loves working at Northside as she can help animals and truly see a difference after caring for them.
Tammie
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT)
Tammie joined the Northside team in 2021. She is a 2016 Baker College Graduate, with a degree in Veterinary Technology, and has been Fear Free Certified since 2017. Tammie lives in Jackson with her husband and children, three dogs; Abernathy, Clarence, and Earl; and one cat, Fitz. When not at work, she enjoys spending time with family and watching movies.
